The American Veterinary Medical Association, www.avma.org,
has endorsed early spay-neuter surgical procedures on pets
between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks. And Petland is an advocate
of early spaying and neutering, making every attempt to work

that already have been spayed and neutered. Some Petland operators
are offering free spaying and neutering for all Petland puppies

appointments at the point of pet adoption for spaying and
neutering with their local veterinarian. Depending on local
veterinary support, Petland store operators make the highest
commitment to spaying and neutering in the communities they
serve.
