At Petland Iowa City, we only accept domestic, unplanned
litters of kittens from around our community.
Once a kitten gets here he is bathed, vaccinated, put on
a nourishing diet, and begins the important period in his
life we call "socialization." Diets are closely
monitored, and hygiene is meticulously maintained. Each kitten
is taken to Gentle Heart Pet Clinic for an initial exam where
they are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS as well
as given their initial vaccinations and Dewormings. They are
treated with Frontline for fleas and ticks and micro-chipped
for lifetime identification. Each kitten comes with a seven-day
viral warranty and a thee-year congenital and hereditary warranty.
Our kittens receive constant care and monitoring from our
trained kennel technicians.
When we place our kittens out we are inviting every cat lover
to pet and cuddle as much as they want. We realize this contributes
to the kitten's socialization, and that every kitten's temperament
is improved by it. We believe our kittens make better pets!
