Petland Austin and Make-A-Wish Foundation® grant teen's puppy wish
(Austin, TX, April 21, 2009) -- Petland has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas to grant a child’s wish for a new puppy. The twelve-year-old will receive a miniature Poodle puppy on April 25, 2009, at the Petland store in Austin, located at 9900 South IH-35 Building W, Suite 400, in the Southpark Meadow Shopping Center. The Petland store in Austin is operated by Daxa & Rakesh Bhakta.
Petland, a national Make-A-Wish partner, agreed to grant the wish by donating the puppy and necessary supplies.
The Bhaktas called on their vendors and partners to make sure the wish child and her new puppy have everything they need. Nutro Products will provide the puppy with food for 6 months and Rolf C. Hagen Corp. will provide a carrier for safe transportation.
“Petland is proud to be a part of making this wish come true and helping to foster the human-animal bond,” said Daxa Bhakta, operator of the Petland store in Austin. “At Petland, we believe that pets truly do make life better. We hope that this new puppy can do that for this wish child and her family.
