Petland celebrates anniversary with Adopted Pets Reunion Event

(Pittsburgh, PA, October 29, 2015) – In honor of Petland Village of East Side’s 5th anniversary of pet rescues with their ASAP (Animal Shelter Adoption Program), the Petland store on Penn Avenue will be hosting an anniversary celebration and Adopted Pets Reunion 11 a.m.until 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7. with facepainting, an Ask-the-Vet table, half-price nail trims, raffles and refreshments.

Petland is partnering with the Kopy Cat Sanctuary, Little Bit of Snuggles Rescue, and Homeless Cat Management for this fun-filled weekend.

Petland is proud of its five-year history developing the ASAP program. The store works with shelters and rescue groups to help puppies, dogs, kittens and cats find their forever homes. The store works with the Point Breeze Veterinary Clinic who provides vaccinations, spay/neuter services and microchipping.

Since the program’s implementation, the store has helped place 1,000 pets.

“We are very proud of reaching 1,000 pets adopted and our five-year anniversary finding homes for homeless pets,” said Marci Caplan, owner with husband Eric of the Petland in the Village of EastSide. “We are excited to share these milestones with our customers.”
