Petland: Hurricane Season 2025
Be Ready: What to Know for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season & How To Keep Your Pets Safe
As we saw last year, hurricanes aren’t just a coastal concern—they can wreak havoc far inland too. With the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season officially underway (June 1 through November 30), now is the time to prepare, plan, and stay informed. Whether you live along the coast or further inland, readiness is key for your family—and for your pets.

What to Expect This Season
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this year’s hurricane season is projected to be above average, fueled by warmer ocean temperatures and the presence of El Niño conditions.
Here’s what NOAA’s forecast predicts:
- 13 to 19 named storms
- 6 to 10 hurricanes
- 3 to 5 major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher)
Meteorologists estimate:
- 60% chance of an above-normal season
- 30% chance of a near-normal season
- 10% chance of a below-normal season
