Has Petland ever been sued… the short answer is yes. However, have the vast majority of those lawsuits been dismissed? That answer is also yes.

As with any company providing a service, large or small, we are vulnerable to claims of legal threats and actions. Petland is not immune to this. A majority of lawsuits that have named Petland have been influenced, supported and sometimes paid for by radical “animal right” politically lobbying organizations (we won’t name names). We have successfully defended our operations, business practices and animal welfare guidelines in most of these legal challenges.

The first paragraph of Petland’s Puppy Warranty states, “Puppies are living things, and like people, they can become ill. Petland policies prohibit puppies with known illnesses from being sent home. If a puppy is diagnosed as ill, Petland will not send a puppy home until a licensed veterinarian has released the puppy to join its new forever home.”

Petland’s Puppy Health Warranty is available to eliminate unexpected veterinary costs in the rare instances when, like a human, a pet becomes sick and/or needs medical intervention.
