Petland Heath Reaches Almost $4,500 in Support of Local Shelter
Supporting Local, One Dog at a Time
Since February 2019, anyone who adopts a dog at Licking County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center (LCDS) receives a $25 Petland gift card and bag of food. Petland Heath has since redeemed over $4,400 in gift cards.
Petland Heath has been hosting monthly adoption days with LCDS since 2018. Stop by Petland Heath every fourth Saturday of the month from 12-2 for a playdate with the adoptable dogs at LCDS!
“It’s all about the community here,” says Petland Heath General Manager Hope Mills. “No matter where someone finds their dog or puppy, we believe that pet should go home with the essentials.”
The first gift card was redeemed February 7, 2019.
Customers can support Petland Heath’s local community service initiatives by rounding up at the register or purchasing a bag of Heartland Naturals dog food. Petland Heath also supports and/or feeds over 25 local police K-9 units and raised almost $5,000 at their 5th Annual K-9 Appreciation Day fundraiser.
Customers receive their Petland gift card upon completion of the adoption paperwork at LCDS.
